Are you always beating yourself up over the smallest thing? That little negative voice in the back of your head telling you that you’re not good enough? Compare yourself to all those people out there who have the “perfect” body or job? Have you ever noticed that when other people tell you that you didn’t do well in something you have a tendency to beat yourself up much more than they did about it? This might not be everyone but there is a lot of instances where people can have a negative mindset towards themselves and don’t get me wrong giving yourself healthy criticism is a good way to motivate yourself to improve but it can become a problem when it constantly brings your mood or energy down. Below are some really good tips i have learned to become my own i suppose “cheerleader”.
- When you wake up in the morning, put your hand over your heart and say:
- I am worthy
- I am loved
- I am beautiful
2. Throughout the day if you catch yourself talking negatively towards yourself, pick one thing that you love about yourself.
3. Before you go to bed at night (i recommend everyone keep a journal) write 3 things down that you love about yourself whether it be about your personality, your looks or the way you treat people.
I know all of the above might sound really silly but overtime and from my own experience it really does help you build a stronger inner foundation and gain more confidence and self-worth.
